So far she just loves being here. She is getting along beautifully with Doris our other Cat, as well as becoming accustomed to all the parrots, dogs, rabbit, fish, and of course that big Green Iguana. She also loves our two little human girls that play with her all day.
Ellis was all naked when he arrived but thanks to BirD-elicious' Pluckers diet he is feathering out beautifully!
Fannie May On the eight year anniversary of my mother's passing. I was packing my car to leave Ma. to head back home here to Il. When my niece Alana who is seven, and just went through major brain surgery for Moya Moya Syndrome was standing next to my car with a stray dog next to her. I was very emotional about leaving my niece and all of my family especially on this day. I asked her whose dog it was and she looked at me and said " Auntie Shelly it's Annie" So after two flea baths and a trip to the pet store for flea spray, collar, leash, food, and treats. We warmly welcome Fannie May into our lives. She is a seven month old Border Collie mix. Rocky Rocky was rescued from a drug house. She had a colorful vocabulary and many behavior issues including feather picking. Rocky is now The Polite Parrot mascot and doing very well. Her vocabulary has been modified. She loves to be preened and will greet guests at our door during summer months as she spends days in our enclosed 3 season room. She loves being outside and going on bike rides with Michelle.
Sonny and Rocky Sonny came to foster here and Rocky decided she wanted him to stay. Sonny is on the right and Rocky on the left, as you can see Rocky is still battling with her feather destruction. Rocky and Sonny are kept in seperate cages side by side they will not be bred, they just like to share each other's company out on the sun porch here. We lost our beloved Sonny today Wednesday June 25th, 2008 to cancer. The ache in our hearts will be long lived. We love you Sonny and we will always miss our favorite blue boy. Fly free my love!
